College of Agriculture, Badnapur dist. Jalna has been established as a constituent college of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani. It is one among the six constituent agriculture colleges of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani founded in the year 2000 vide resolution of government of Maharashtra, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Dairy and Fishery department bearing number MKV/1299/77/20A dated 29th March 2000 under a scheme entitled "Establishment of Agricultural College, Badnapur dist. Jalna". It is geographically located in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra situated in between Aurangabad and Jalna cities at 9.50 latitude and 7.53 longitudes with an altitude of 523-meter rom MSL. The college is well connected with Air, road and railway facilities. It is 2.5 km away from Badnapur station on Manmad - Secunderabad route of south-central railway division.
Practically functioning of this college commenced from an academic year 2000-2001. The college housed earlier in the existing building of ARS, Badnapur with four lecture halls and one small multipurpose block. Initially the college offered undergraduate programme of B.Sc. (Agri.). up to 2013. Since from 2013 the college has been offering both under graduate B.Sc. (Hon.) Agriculture and the postgraduate degree M.Sc. (Agri./Hort.) started in the six disciplines viz. Agronomy, Agricultural Botany (Genetics and Plant Breeding), Agricultural Entomology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry and Fruit Science.

- To provide higher agriculture education.

As per the norms laid down by ICAR all faculty members implement the required teaching load efficiently. Since its establishment, a total of 900 undergraduate students have passed from this college. All UG departments are keen to conduct need-based practicals which lead the student towards entrepreneurial knowledge and skill development. The teaching staff of various sections carry out need-based research as per the finalization of topics in the Research Planning Committee of the University.
- Akhila Reddy, B.Sc. (Agri.) (2018-22), student admitted for Higher Studies (MBA) at Sacred Heart University, USA
- Two students got SRF Viz., Shivam Patil (2020-21) for GPB at AAU, Gujarat and Shri Ganesh Sarjane (2021-22) for Plant Pathology at Jhansi, UP.
- Two students got ICAR JRF out of which Bhushan Deshmukh (2020-21) got admission and JRF for PG Agronomy at Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur and Dnyaneshwar Shinde got admission and JRF for PG Agricultural Entomology at Pusa, Bihar.
- During 2023-24 total 34 students got admitted for PG in Agriculture out of which 24 students got PG admission through MCAER and 10 students got admissions through ICAR and various SAU entrance examinations across the country and one student Lal Khan Pathan got JRF and PG admission for GPB at Pusa Bihar.
M.Sc. (Agronomy): During the last five year 25 students were completed PG degree successfully. Soil Science: During the last five years 27 students completed the PG degree successfully. Entomology: During the last five years 28 students completed the PG degree successfully. Genetics and Plant Breeding: During the last five years 26 students have completed successfully. Plant Pathology: During the last five year 25 students completed PG degree successfully. Fruit Science: In all 25 students were admitted and completed the PG degree successfully.
- Dr. D. K. Patil and Dr. V. K. Gite received prestigious Radha Kishan Shanti Malhotra Award for the year 2021-22.
